Con Edison customers made 2020 a successful year for solar energy

Con Edison customers continued to have their rapid adoption of solar energy in 2020, despite the economic and social challenges that COVID-19 posed along the way.

Customers in the Westchester County and New York City completed 5,542 arrays during the year. The panels have the capacity to produce 44.77 megawatts or 44.77 million watts.

The company have now completed more than 35,700 projects with the capacity to produce 322 megawatts. These projects offset the equivalent of 300,000 tons of carbon emissions produced by more than 64,000 cars.
